Bavaria Cruiser 50 2012

This 2012 Bavaria Cruiser 50 is a 15.57 metre sailing yacht laid out with five cabins, making her well suited to larger groups. Registered for eleven people and fitted with three separate heads and showers, she works equally well for extended cruising and for charter operation.

Her strongest point is her renewed equipment: the main engine was replaced with a 2023 Volvo Penta 75 HP, and the mainsail was likewise renewed in 2023. Between them, these two items put the most expensive maintenance headings for a yacht of this age already behind her.

Navigation and comfort equipment is comprehensive. Alongside the autopilot, GPS chart plotter, wind instrument, tridata and VHF radio, a bow thruster makes manoeuvring straightforward. The electrical system is supported by 3 x 140 Ah service batteries, 2 x 180W solar panels, a battery charger and a 220V shore connection, with 220V sockets in every cabin and head. Heating is by diesel calorifier.

On deck she carries teak cockpit seating and sole, a bimini, sprayhood, electric anchor windlass, bathing platform and outside shower. The galley has an oven, gas cookers, hot water, a refrigerator and an additional fridge with ice compartment. Safety equipment includes a liferaft, life jackets, safety harnesses, distress flares and a first aid kit.
