How Does a Yacht Auction Work? Step by Step

What is a reserve price, how does bidding work, and what happens when you win? The full process on Türkiye's first online yacht auction platform.

A yacht auction offers a vessel for sale through open, transparent bidding over a fixed period. When time runs out, the highest bid wins — provided the reserve price has been met.

What is a reserve price?

The reserve is the minimum amount the seller will accept, and it is not shown to bidders. If the highest bid ends below the reserve, the sale does not complete; the yacht can be relisted, or we can broker a negotiation with the highest bidder.

How does bidding work?

  • Create a free account and verify your email.
  • Review the current bid and the minimum increment on the listing page.
  • Place your bid — bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn.
  • If you are outbid, you are notified instantly by email and mobile push.

What happens when you win?

When the auction closes, auction fees are added to the winning bid (the rate is shown clearly before you bid). Once the invoice is issued you have 5 business days to pay. Handover does not begin until payment completes, and delivery takes place with the broker present.

Why buy at auction?

An auction lets real buyer demand set the market price. Every bid is recorded, the same rules apply to everyone, and the seller is protected by the reserve. Instead of open-ended listing negotiations, both sides work to a clear timetable.
